2015: INDOOR: Recorded a personal-best in the shot put at the Iowa Big 4 Duals (1/24), scoring a mark of 50-11.50 ... placed third overall in the shot put at the Jack Jennett Invitational (1/30).
2015: OUTDOOR: Scored team points and finished in sixth overall in the discus at the MVC Championships (5/15), finishing with a huge personal-best mark of 162-6.00 ... also notched an outdoor personal record in the shot put at the Musco Invitational (5/2) of 48-6.25 ... was named to the MVC Honor Roll.
2014: INDOOR: Did not compete.
2014: OUTDOOR: Had a personal-best in the shot put at the Mark Messersmith Invitational (5/9) with a mark of 44-1.50 … also finished with a personal-best in the discus at the Mark Messersmith Invitational with a distance of 137-4.00.
High School: Lettered in track and field at Decorah High School … was a two-time Drake Relays qualifier in the discus … finished fifth in the discus at the state meet in 2010 and fourth in 2011 … also placed fifth in the shot put at the state meet in 2011 … turned in a second place finish in the shot put and sixth place finish in the discus in 2012 … helped his team to a 3A state championship in 2012 … was named to the Elite All-State team in 2012.
Personal: Son of Dean and Lois … is the youngest of six siblings … majoring in exercise science.
