2015: INDOOR: Scored a personal-best in the indoor shot put of 46-5.25 at the Panther Open (1/17), placing in the top-five … finished with another PR in the weight throw at the MVC Championships (2/28), notching a mark of 54-8.00.
2015: OUTDOOR: Opened his outdoor season with a personal record in the discus at the ESU Spring Open (3/28), gaining a mark of 161-4.00 … recorded a personal-best in the hammer throw at the Wisconsin Open (5/8), grabbing a mark of 171-1.00.
2014: INDOOR: Did not compete.
2014: OUTDOOR: Finished in seventh place and scored team points in the discus at the MVC Outdoor Championships (5/16) … threw for a personal-best distance of 157-4.00 at the Musco Invitaional (5/3) for a third place finish … also threw a personal-best mark in the hammer throw at the SIUE Gateway Invitational (4/19) with a distance of 144-2.00.
Prior to UNI: Participated in track and field at the University of Sioux Falls, South Dakota … earned a second-place finish in the discus and was named all-conference.
High School: Was a four-year letter winner in track and field at Kingsley-Pierson … earned all-conference his junior and senior seasons … helped his team to a conference title in 2012 … placed fifth in the discus at state his junior year … placed second in the discus and 6th in the shot put at the state meet his senior year … was a fifth place finisher in the discus at the Drake Relays his senior season … was also a four-year letter winner in football and basketball and was a Shrine Bowl participant for football.
Personal: Son of Kelley and Monte … has three siblings, Chad, Rachel and Olivia … did community service with his local church and volunteered at a nursing home … majoring in physical education with a minor in health.
