2013: Competed twice during the season as a true freshman … ran a personal-best in the 5,000 meters at the Illinois State Invitational (9/13) with a time of 20:29.
High School: Lettered in cross country three years at Harlan Community High School … helped her team to the 2008 conference and district championship titles in cross country … holds the eighth fastest 1,500 meters time in school history … helped her track team to conference and district championships from 2008-2011.
Personal: Daughter of Gene and Angie Gettys … was a member of the National Honor Society and the Student Council at Harlan Community … won the Harlan Kiwanis Club Youth Appreciation Award two years in a row.
