2014: Appeared in 24 games while starting six as an outfielder… batted .241 and scored six runs… went 2-for-2 with a RBI in a 5-2 win over Wright State (2/28).
High School: Five-time Varsity letter recipient for Mt. Vernon High School in Mt. Vernon, IA… Four-time all-conference selection In the WAMAC East Conference.... Martin was named team captain in 2013 for the Mustangs and batted .421…Helped the Mustangs bring home a 6th place finish in the 3A state tournament in 2009 as well as a 2A 4th place finish in the 2010 state tournament… Martin also ran track finishing 6th at the Iowa High School State Track Championships in the sprint-medley relay. Martin is also an Honor Roll member and active with National Honor Society.
Personal: Daughter of Mike and Mary Martin, Michaela was born on April 30, 1995 in Cedar Rapids, IA and has two siblings, Kari (20), and Matt (12).
