Panther softball adds pitcher Grace Pence to the 2027 roster

Cedar Falls, Iowa — UNI softball head coach announced the addition of Albia High School standout pitcher Grace Pence to the 2027 roster on Friday.
"We are super excited to add Grace to our program," said head coach Ryan Jacobs. "We have watched her have steady growth throughout her high school career at Albia, and she's turned into one of the best pitchers in Iowa. She will be a great addition to our culture and pitching staff."
Pence led her team to the upcoming Iowa State Tournament this season with 26 wins and a 0.19 ERA in 166 innings. Pence struck out 345 batters en route to a tournament appearance. Her high school career featured a 70-15 record over 523.2 innings heading into the State Tournament. The pitcher joins the Panthers with several All-Region and All-State honors in her time at Albia High School.
