Four Panthers named CSC Softball Academic All-District

GREENWOOD, Ind. — Four members of the UNI softball team were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team as announced by CSC on Tuesday.
The CSC Academic All-District Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom.
Nominated student-athletes must have participated in the MVC Championships or at least 75 percent of the team's regular season games with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average (GPA). Nominees in grad school must have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or better both as an undergrad and in graduate school.
Skylar Benesh (3.91 | PE Teaching), Katelyn Callahan (3.98 | Management: Business Administration | Finance: Financial Management), and Anna Wischnowski (Grad 4.00 Speech-Language Pathology | Undergrad 3.75 Communication Disorders) are all being named to their first CSC Academic All-District team, while Kate Lappe (3.69 | Accounting) is appearing on the Academic All-District Team for the third time in her career.

College Sports Communicators was founded in 1957 and is a 3,200+ member national association for strategic, creative and digital communicators across intercollegiate athletics in the United States and Canada.
From its founding in 1957 until the 2022 name change, the organization was known as College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
The organization, which celebrated its 65th year during the 2021-22 academic year, is the second oldest management association in all of intercollegiate athletics. College Sports Communicators became an affiliated partner with NACDA (National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics) in December of 2008.
