UNI women's golf looks to finish the season strong at the MVC Championships

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa --- All 12 Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) women's golf teams will take the course at the Annbriar Golf Club beginning Sunday morning as Indiana State plays host to the 2025 Conference Championship meet in Waterloo, Illinois.Â
Play is scheduled to begin with the first round on Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. CT on the par-72, 6,188-yard course. The tournament will continue with another 9:30 a.m. CT start on Monday morning, followed by 8:30 a.m. CT start time for the final round on Tuesday. Individual tee times have yet to be announced.Â
The Panthers took fourth place in last year's MVC championships, also played at Annbriar Golf Course. Victoria Hualde took fourth place, finishing the tournament with a 219 (+3). Anna Jensen tied for fifth place with a final 220 (+4) score. Hualde and Jensen earned all-tournament honors, and Jensen also received ALL-MVC recognition for their performance. Anna Nacos tied for 25th place and finished with a total score of 221 (+5). McKenna Malow carded a 238 (+22), finishing in 44th place, while Addison Berg finished in 52nd place, shooting a total score of 250 (+34).
UNI is coming off of a second-place finish at the WIU Intercollegiate in Illinois, led by Victoria Hualde, who finished in fourth place with a total score of 226 (+13). Jensen finished right behind Hualde, placing fifth with a score of 228 (+15). Anna Nacos finished in sixth place, shooting 230 (+17) and sinking seven birdies over the two-day tournament. McKenna Mallow finished in a two-way tie for 16th place, scoring 240 (+27). Isabella Pettersen placed 25th, shooting 252 (+39). Freshman Greenlee Smock finished in 33rd place in her collegiate debut with the Panthers.Â
