Jensen places second to lead UNI women’s golf at the 2025 MVC Championships

WATERLOO, III --- UNI women's golf rounded out the 2025 season with a seventh-place finish at the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Championships shooting a total team score of 923 (+59). Illinois State captured the team title shooting a final score of 874 (+10), while Bradley's Jillian Cosler took home the individual title with a score of 215 (-1) at Annbriar Golf Club.
Senior Anna Jensen led the Panthers finishing in second place with a final score of 217 (+1) to earn both All-MVC and All-Tournament honors. Jensen's second-place finish is her best all-time at the MVC Championships. Jensen set a new best low-round score in round three with a 69, while sinking 10 birdies and 9 bogeys over the three-day tournament. She was the lone player to go under par in round three. Victoria Hualde finished in the top-10 with a ninth-place finish shooting 223 (+7), playing consistently over the three rounds with 75-74-74. Hualde carded 10 birdies and 13 bogeys to finish the tournament.
Junior McKenna Mallow finished in a tie for 49th place with a score of 242 (+26). Mallow tied her best low-round score of 77 in round two with two birdies. Anna Nacos placed in a three-way tie for 51st place with a final score of 243 (+27), shooting her best round of the tournament in round two with an 80. Nacos carded one birdie over the course of the tournament.
Rylie Driskell subbed in for Isabella Pettersen on days two and three of the tournament after Pettersen scored an 88 (+16) on day one. Driskell carded a 78 and 83 in rounds two and three to total 161 (+17). Pettersen and Driskell combined for a total score of 249 (+33) to conclude the 2025 Women's Golf MVC Championships.
