UNI women’s golf closes season with 10th-place finish at the MVC Championship

SILVIS, Illinois --- The UNI Women's golf team finished their final tournament of the season with a 10th-place finish at the MVC Championship at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois. Murray State claimed the team title, shooting a score of 923 (+59), while Belmont's Sloane Biddle took home the individual title, carding a 222 (+6).
Sophomore Isabella Pettersen led the way for the Panthers, placing in a tie for 25th place with a score of 241 (+25). Pettersen shot 78-82-81 and recorded four birdies over the three-day tournament, marking her second-best finish of the season. Addison Berg placed 36th, shooting a total score of 246 (+30). Berg shot consistently in all three rounds with 83-80-83 and carded three birdies, with two of those coming in round two. Senior McKenna Mallow finished in a three-way tie for 37th place with a score of 247 (+31). Mallow finished strong, tying her best low round score in round three with a 77 (+5). She also tallied three birdies in the final tournament of her career.
Freshman Jane Petersen finished in 45th place, shooting 254 (+38). Petersen shot consistently over three rounds with 84-84-86. Greenlee Smock placed in a tie for 48th place with a final score of 258 (+42). Smock shot 82-83-93 and carded three birdies with two in round one to finish the season for the Panther ladies.
