UNI Women’s golf finishes round one in seventh place at MVC Championships

WATERLOO, III. --- The Panthers finish round one of the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Championships in seventh place, with Illinois State leading the field and Drake's Erika Holmberg in first place with a score of 70 (-2).

Anna Jensen leads the Panthers, finishing round one in a tie for tenth place, shooting a final score of 74 (+2), sinking three birdies and five bogeys in 18 holes. Victoria Hualde finished in a seven-way tie for 12th place, carding a 75 (+3) with two birdies and three bogeys. Anna Nacos placed in a five-way tie for 39th place, shooting 81 (+9), finishing with one birdie and eight bogeys.

McKenna Mallow finished in a six-way tie for 44th place, shooting a round score of 82 (+10) with eight bogeys. Freshman Isabella Pettersen placed in a tie for 58th, shooting a score of 88 (+16), with one birdie and ten bogeys in her MVC Conference Championships debut.

UNI will tee off round two tomorrow of the MVC Championships tomorrow with tee times beginning at 9:30 a.m. CT.
