LINCOLN, Nebraska--The University of Northern Iowa women's swimming and diving team fell to the Nebraska Huskers this evening, 191-105.

Freshman Katie Taylor continues her domination in the pool. Taylor took first place in the 200 backstroke with a time of two minutes, two second and fifty-four hundredths of a second. Taylor took second in the 400 IM and 100 backstroke individually. Taylor swam a 56.86 in the 100 backstroke and a 4:31.52 in the 400 IM. Taylor would team up with Crystal Florman, Autumn Roepsch and Aftin Phyfe for a second place finish in the 200 freestyle relay, timing in at 1:36.97. Taylor and Florman would team up with Moriah Ross and Molly Lembezeder to take third place in the 400 medley relay, 3:51.31

Taylor isn't the only freshman making a splash in the pool. Jordan McCullough took second in the 500 freestyle, timing in at 5:17.63. McCullough also took seventh in the 200 freestyle, swimming to a time of 1.59.09. Fellow freshman Kylie Engstrom took second in the 1000 freestyle, swimming a 10:50.65. Engstrom also competed in the 500 freestyle, swimming a 5:20.52 for fourth place. Moriah Ross rounds out the freshman, taking second in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:23.49. Ross would grab second place again in the 100 breaststroke, swimming a 1.05.92.

Lembezeder continues to have strong performances as a Panther. Lembezeder grabbed first place individually in the 50 freestyle, with a time of 24.22. Â Nebraska's Julia Roller nabbed second place at 24.61. Lembezeder was just shy of first place in the 100 freestyle, timing in at 52.15. Â

Florman took second place in the 100 butterfly, with a time of 59.33. Â Florman swam 1.57.31, good for fourth place, in the 200 freestyle.

Senior Veronica Herrmann would grab third place in the 200 breaststroke and 100 breaststroke. Herrmann swam times of 2:24.36 and 1:07.04.

Kelsey Ostrowski took third place in the 100 butterfly, swimming to a time of 1:00.54.

Savannah Jensen grabbed third place in the 500 freestyle, timing in at 5:20.18.

Roepsch nabbed third place in the 50 freestyle, 24.88.
Â
Rachel Siebenaller swam a 10:52.86, good for third place in the 1000 freestyle.

Stephanie Jackson rounded out the Panthers swimming in the 200 butterfly. Jackson swam a time of 2:12.92 for third place.

Diving
Â
Sophomore Alyssa Deuso had her best performance this evening as a Panther. Deuso took fourth place in the 3-meter diving with a score of 237.38 and fifth place in the 1-meter diving, with a score of 218.85. Junior Hannah Brummel took fifth in the 3-meter diving, scoring 216.53 and sixth place in the 1-meter diving, with a score of 204. Emma Billerbeck rounded out the Panther divers, diving into seventh place in the 3-meter and 1-meter diving, with dives of 202.95 and 146.63, respectively.

The Panthers continue their stint in Nebraska as they travel to the Nebraska-Omaha Mavericks on Saturday, Oct. 29. The meet is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
