Hogan, Peters pick up CSCAA Scholar All-American status

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa --- UNI divers Avery Hogan and Erica Peters on Thursday were named Second Team Scholar All-American recipients by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America's (CSCAA) for the 2025-26 season.
Additionally, the Panther program as a whole was recognized by the CSCAA as a Scholar All-American Team for the past semester after posting a 3.57 cumulative grade-point average (GPA) during the spring 2026 term.
To qualify for individual scholar honors, first team student-athletes must have earned a GPA of 3.05 or higher and participated in their national championship. Second team selections must have also earned a 3.50 GPA or higher and met an NIC A time standard in Division I or an NCAA B qualifying standard for the national championship or qualified for a diving zone qualification meet for Division II, Division III, and NAIA. Team recognition comes with a cumulative team GPA of 3.00 or higher.
Hogan, a Waterloo, Iowa native and sport administration major, was named the Missouri Valley Conference's (MVC) Diver of the Year after capturing the conference title in the three-meter competition at the conference championship meet, along with second place in the one-meter competition. The junior, who ranks in the top-five in program history in both events, competed at the NCAA Diving Zones in March. She was also a College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District selection this season and a member of the MVC Scholar-Athlete Team.
A senior from Ankeny, Iowa, Peters closed out her collegiate career third in three-meter and fourth in one-meter diving action at the MVC Championships. Ranking in the top-ten in team history in both events, the recreation, tourism and non-profit leadership major qualified and participated in the NCAA Zones last month in the three-meter competition. Peters was also named CSC Academic All-District and to the MVC Scholar-Athlete Team this past season.
