UNI swimming & diving releases 2026-27 meet schedule

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa --- The UNI swimming and diving team announced on Wednesday its meet schedule for the upcoming 2026-27 season.
Entering their tenth season under the leadership of head coach Nick Lakin, the Panthers will open the new season on Sept. 26 with their annual Purple and Gold intrasquad meet inside the Glen F. Henry Pool in UNI's Wellness-Recreation Center. This meet will also serve as the jersey retirement ceremony for former Panther standout swimmer Molly Lembezeder (2014-18).
UNI's first dual meets will see the Panthers visit Marquette on Oct. 9 in Milwaukee before a visit to Chicago on Oct. 10 to dual UIC and Southern Indiana. Northern Iowa will return to Cedar Falls to host both Southern Illinois and St. Thomas in a two-day dual, Oct. 16 and 17 for the first collegiate meet to be held at the new neighboring Cedar Falls Community Natatorium.
The Panthers will travel to Vermillion for the first of two meets in South Dakota for the Coyote Extravaganza, Oct. 30-31 before finishing out the first half of the schedule at the Hawkeye Invite in Iowa City, Nov. 17-20.
UNI returns to dual action on Jan. 9 with an in-state matchup at Iowa State and will compete in its final dual and home event of the year, Jan. 15-16 for a senior weekend dual against Illinois State. The Panthers will make their second trip to Vermillion for the Coyote Invite, Feb. 5-6 ahead of the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Championships at the Deaconess Aquatics Center in Evansville, Indiana.
Qualified divers for the NCAA Diving Zones will travel to Austin, Texas from March 8-10, with qualified athletes heading to the NCAA Championships, also slated to be held in Austin at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center, March 17-20.Â
