CEDAR FALLS, Iowa --- Former UNI swimmer Faith Larsen has been named to the United States roster for the 2026 FISU America Games, as announced on Tuesday.
The event, which will run from July 20 through August 1 in Lima, Peru, serves as an international competition for nations throughout the North, South and Central America, as well as the Caribbean. Athletes competing in the games are university/college eligible through the end of the year following their graduation.
Larsen is scheduled to compete in two events in Peru, including the 50-meter freestyle on July 25, as well as the 50-meter butterfly on July 26.
Larsen, an Eden Prairie, Minnesota native who graduated from UNI in the spring of 2025, was a three-time All-Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) performer from 2021 to 2025 where she captured four individual conference titles, including three straight wins in the 50-yard freestyle (2023-25) and the 2025 MVC 100-yard freestyle crown.
One of the top sprinters in program history, Larsen finished her career ranking in the top-ten in eight different events at the time of her graduation, holding UNI's school records in the 50-yard freestyle and 200 and 400-yard freestyle relays. She also holds the Glen F. Henry Pool records in all three events, plus the 400-yard medley relay. In addition to her success in the pool, Larsen was also named the MVC Elite 18 Award winner in 2024 and 2025, given to the student-athlete with the highest cumulative grade-point average competing at the conference championships.
Since graduation, Larsen has served as an assistant coach with Northern Iowa, as well as the head coach and program director of the Panther Aquatic Club.
