2012: INDOOR: Defended his shot put title at the Missouri Valley Conference Indoor Championships, throwing a personal-best 59-02.75 (18.05m) ... won the shot put at the Panther Open (1/14) and took second place at the Jack Johnson Classic (1/21), Jack Jennett Invitational (1/28) and Iowa Invitational (2/17) ... concluded his career at No. 2 on the UNI all-time list in the indoor shot put at 59-02.75.
OUTDOOR: Runner-up in the shot put at the MVC Outdoor Championships (5/12), throwing 58-06.50 (17.84m) ... qualified for the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds for the second straight year in the shot put ... broke the UNI school record in the event on two different occasions ... shattered the 34-year-old record by 1 foot, 7 inches on Mar. 31 at the Central College Invitational, throwing 60-01.00 (18.31m) ... broke his own record by more than one foot at the Messersmith Invite on May 4 with a toss of 61-01.50 (18.63m) ... ranked among the Top 20 in the nation in the shot put.
