Panther golfers travel to Illinois, Nebraska starting Sunday

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa --- The fall golf season continues for the UNI golf teams as both programs near the end of their fall schedules with the Panther women set to compete at Bradley's Coyote Creek Classic on Sunday and Monday, and the Northern Iowa men heading to Homer, Nebraska for South Dakota's Throwdown Up Top Monday through Wednesday.
Both tournaments will begin with 8:30 a.m. CT tee times on all days. The UNI women will compete at the 6,700-yard, par-72 Coyote Creek Golf Club in Bartonville, Illinois, while the Landman Golf Club in Homer is set at 7,200 yards and a par-73.
Teams expected to compete at the Coyote Creek Classic against the Panther women include Western Illinois, Oakland, Southern Indiana, Evansville, Lindenwood, Green Bay and Bradley. The men's field will include teams from North Dakota, Loyola-Chicago, Western Illinois, Creighton, North Dakota State, Green Bay, St. Thomas and South Dakota.
The Panther ladies are coming off of a 13th place finish at the Diane Thomason Invitational earlier this week in Iowa City where Anna Jensen led the team finishing in a tie for 35th place individually, scoring 235 (+19). Victoria Hualde finished in a five-way tie for 37th place shooting a 236 (+20), while Addison Berg finished in a three-way tie for 68th with a final score of 247 (+31). This will be the second to last tournament for the UNI women this fall.
On the men's side, the Panthers will participate in their final tournament of the fall after a strong performance at the Tommie Invitational earlier this week in Minnesota. Calen Bishop and Connor VanWeelden both led the UNI men in their last outing in a three-way tie for second place shooting a total of 217 (+1). JD Pollard placed in a five-way tie for 26th place with a score of 228 (+12), with Tanner Dinnebier finishing in a five-way tie for 43rd place scoring 234 (+18).
