CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — The Panther swim and dive team will return to action this weekend as they travel to Rochester, Minnesota for the Huskies (Coyotes) Invite at the Rochester-Olmstead County Recreation Center Natatorium.

The two-day invite meet, which will feature athletes from St. Cloud State, South Dakota, South Dakota State and Sioux Falls, is slated to begin on Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. CT with swimming competition, followed by diving at 7:10 p.m. Saturday's action will begin at 10:10 a.m. CT with diving with swimming to follow at 1 p.m. CT.

Notably, this will be UNI's first regular season meet in the State of Minnesota since 2010.

This weekend's meet will be the Panthers' first since dropping their season-opening dual to Iowa at home on Oct. 4 by a score of 173-127. In the loss to the Hawkeyes, two-time reigning Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) 50-yard freestyle champion Faith Larsen topped the field in the spring, while Nikki Walters claimed the 200-yard butterfly win. Other notable finishes included first-place performances from Morgan Meyer in the 100-yard freestyle, Hannah Nedder in the 100-yard butterfly and the team of Meyer, Larsen, Abby Lear and Hallory Domnick in the 400-yard freestyle relay.

On the boards, Erica Peters took second place in the three-meter competition for the Panthers with a score of 253.05, while Trista Thompson came in third for Northern Iowa with a score of 260.63 on the one-meter boards.
