GREENWOOD, Ind. --- Four members of the UNI swimming and diving team were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team as announced by CSC on Tuesday.Â
The CSC Academic All-District Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom.Â
Panther divers Avery Hogan and Erica Peters, along with swimmers Elyse Brayton and Aspen Cole were selected by the CSC as members of the 2025-26 Academic All-District Team. Additionally, Hogan was named a finalist for CSC Academic All-American honors.Â
Nomination criteria include holding a cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.50 or better, being a sophomore standing or higher both academically and athletically, and have competed in at least 75% of team meets, finished top-eight in an event at the conference championship meet or competed at a national championship meet.
Hogan, a Waterloo, Iowa native and sport administration major, was named the Missouri Valley Conference's (MVC) Diver of the Year after capturing the conference title in the three-meter competition at the conference championship meet, along with second place in the one-meter competition. The junior, who ranks in the top-five in program history in both events, competed at the NCAA Diving Zones in March.
A senior from Ankeny, Iowa, Peters closed out her collegiate career third in three-meter and fourth in one-meter diving action at the MVC Championships. Ranking in the top-ten in team history in both events, the recreation, tourism and non-profit leadership major qualified and participated in the NCAA Zones last month in the three-meter competition.
A junior hailing from Traverse City, Michigan, Brayton earns her first CSC Academic All-District honor following a breakout season where she earned First Team All-MVC recognition. The nursing major notably contributed to a pair of top-three finishing relays at the MVC Championships and set new top-ten all-time marks in program history in three events, including the 100 and 200-yard backstroke, the 200-yard individual medley.
Majoring in individual studies and hailing from Mason City, Iowa, Cole earned MVC Honorable Mention status in her sophomore season with the Panthers, competing in four events at the conference championships with an appearance in UNI's sixth-place 400-yard medley relay. Cole also set new top-ten times in team history in four events this year, including the 100 and 200-yard breastroke and 200 and 400-yard individual medley.
College Sports Communicators' Academic All-America Team selections will be voted on and announced in late-April.
