RESULTS
DES MOINES, Iowa – The UNI men and women swept the Jim Duncan Invite hosted by Drake University winning the men's team meet with a score of 94 points and the women's meet with a score of 82.
The UNI men tallied 12 event wins and 26 top-three finishes. The Panther women won seven events and earned 23 top-three marks.
On the men's side, Tayshaun Cooper won the 100-meter dash, Ryan Van Baale won the 200-meter dash, Corey Hertz won the 400-meter dash, C.J. May won the 1,500-meter dash, Drake Henrichs won the 5,000-meter run and the Panthers won the 4x400-meter relay.
In the field events, Owen Minshall won the high jump, Cameron Bauer won the pole vault, Cade Kirkpatrick won the long jump, Darius King won the shot put and Isaac Holtz won the discus and the hammer throw.
For the women, Maddie McCalla won the 200-meter dash, Jasmine Blue won the 400-meter dash, Lyndsie Schinkel won the 1,500-meter run and UNI women won the 4x400-meter relay.
In the field events, Maria Gonzalez won the high jump, Brooke Lorenz won the long jump and Alanna Nietert won the hammer.
Drake took second in the both the men's and women's meets with scores of 42 and 53 respectively.
UNI is back in action next week at the University of Nebraska Husker Spring Invite in Lincoln, Neb.
