CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – UNI track and field travels to the University of Nebraska for the Husker Spring Invite at Ed Weir Stadium in Lincoln this weekend.Â
The Panthers enter the meet with just one performance so far this season. The Panthers struggled with tough weather conditions in the first meet of the year at Drake, but conditions are expected to be warm in Lincoln.Â
UNI is ranked in the top 10 in MVC in 18 different events. Isaac Holtz has the top discus mark in the league and Darius King is second overall in the shot put. McKayla Cole enters the weekend with the second spot in the 5,000-meter run.Â
The meet begins Friday with the hammer throw before the bulk of the meet begins Saturday morning.Â
The field events begin at 11:30 a.m. Saturday with the running events beginning at 1 p.m.Â
