2010-11: MVC scholar-athlete...took 14th in the 100 breaststroke and 15th in 200 breaststroke at MVC Championships.2009-10: Was second on the season-best list for the 100 meter breaststroke (1:09.31) and third for the 200 meter breaststroke (2:30.81)...placed 13th in the 100 meter breaststroke at the MVC Championships.
HIGH SCHOOL: Competed for the Cedar Falls High School swim team...four-time state qualifier...Runner-up at state meet in 2005 and 2008...Four-year letter winner...Holds record in 100 breast stroke for Cedar Falls High School...Team captain senior year...Also participated in speech, art club, environmental club, NHS.
PERSONAL: Born in Fort Kent, ME...Daughter of Paul and Kate Hedeen...Has two sisters, Marian and Marta...Chose UNI because of the photography program and swim team...Majoring in art.
