
UNI women’s golf tees off its 2025-26 season in Kansas

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — UNI women's golf starts its 2025-26 season bright and early Sunday, August 24 at the Jayhawk Invitational in Lawrence, Kansas.
This year's Jayhawk Invitational will consist of two rounds with an opening 18 holes on Sunday and 18 more holes for round two on Monday, August 25. Live results will be made available online through Scoreboard.
Set on the par-72, 6,337-yard Jayhawk Club, this year's field includes 10 teams from around the country, including Alabama State University, University of North Alabama, Wichita State University, University of Texas at Arlington, Creighton University, University of Louisiana Monroe, University of Kansas (Host), Eastern Illinois University, and Longwood University.
UNI returns five golfers from the 2024-25 roster returning this season, including Senior McKenna Mallow, who notched a season-low 77 at the WIU Invitational and MVC Championships last spring. Mallow also posts the Panthers' best average score of 81.05 from last season. Sophomore Isabella Pettersen returns to the links after a strong freshman campaign, shooting a season-low 72 at the Tommie Invitational and carding an average score of 81.72 last year.
Junior Addison Berg is coming off last season with an average score of 84.88 and shooting a season-low 82 in the third round of the Tommie Invitational. The Panther women also bring in four freshmen, including Lauren Nuss, Jayeanna Palm, Jane Patersen, and Molly Ratchford, who look to contribute early.
