Competition is scheduled to begin with field events at 12:30 p.m. CT at Drake Stadium and running events slated to begin at 2 p.m. CT.
Northern Iowa continues outdoor competition after a strong showing last Saturday at the Wartburg Outdoor Select in Waverly, where the Panthers posted 11 first-place performances and set nine new career-best marks.
Among the top performers at Wartburg were heptathlon champion Joey Perry and men's pole vault champion Brendan Safley, who both earned Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Field Athlete of the Week honors on Tuesday. Colin Buch also captured the decathlon title for UNI with a new career-best score and wins in four events of the multi-event competition.

Waverly native Emma Hoins topped the podium in the women's 1,500m in her hometown (4:35.61), while Amelia Hill (unattached) followed in second in 4:37.48 in a crowded 81-runner field. Giada Grimes and Titus Jackson both swept the women's and men's 200-meter dashes with winning times of 24.84 and 22.08 respectively.
