UNI tennis falls to Montana State

GRAND FORKS, N.D. — The UNI women's tennis team opened its weekend doubleheader on Saturday with a 7-0 loss to the Montana State Bobcats at the Choice Health & Fitness Center.
HOW IT HAPPENED
In singles action, Darta Dalecka dropped the number one singles match to Marta Garcia-Reboredo, while Lorena Cardoso was defeated by Meg McCarty, both matches ending in identical 6-3, 6-2 scores. Kanyanut Sudsaard also came up short against Hudson Hawkins in the number three five position, 6-3, 6-2.
Similarly, Angel Bean defeated Andjela Raznatovic, as Lasya Mylavarapu fell to Kavya Khirwar both matches ending in 6-1, 6-0 scores. Kim Zizek also came up short against Nia Gelashvili, 6-1, 6-2.
In doubles competition, the number one duo of Dalecka and Cardoso were defeated by Jojo Bach and McCarty by a score of 6-2. Zizek and Raznatovic fell in the number two spot to Garcia-Reboredo and Hawkins, 6-0, while Sudsaard and Mylavarapu lost to Gelashvili and Bean by a 6-1 score.

The Panthers return to action against the North Dakota Fighting Hawks on Sunday, Feb. 16, at 9 a.m. CT at the Choice Health & Fitness Center in Grand Forks, N.D.
