While tee times for the Stampede At The Creek have yet to be announced, the first two rounds of the WIU Intercollegiate will tee off at 8:30 a.m. CT on Friday morning, followed by Saturday's final round at 8:30 a.m. CT.
UNI competed in both tournaments a season ago with the Panther women placed third in a six-team field at Western Illinois, as Victoria Hualde recorded a season-best round of 75 (+4). On the men's side, Griffin Parker shot his season-best in the opening round with a 68 (-3) to tie for eighth overall individually and help UNI place fifth as a team.
Competing at the Stampede at the Creek, the Panther women finished a tough ninth place as Anna Jensen led the pack to tie for 22nd overall and card her season-best score of 72. The Panther men came with impressive play as Parker led the team with 12 birdies overall and shooting under par in two rounds to surge him into a third place finish. This led the team to a second place team finish for the UNI men, just one stroke from winning the team title.
Both teams are coming off recent play in southwest Missouri. Jensen posted a top-30 finish to help the Panther women take ninth place at Missouri State's Ozarks National Invitational, as JD Pollard sank seven birdies, plus an eagle to help propel UNI into a tie for eighth at the Twin Oaks Intercollegiate, also hosted by Missouri State.
