UNI men's golf travels to Iowa City for Hawkeye Invitational

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa --- The UNI men's golf team stays in state as they head to Iowa City to compete in the Hawkeye Invitational, hosted by the University of Iowa.
This year's tournament will consist of two rounds on Monday, with a shotgun start at 9:00 a.m. CT, and a final round on Tuesday, also with a shotgun start at 9:00 a.m. CT. Live results will be made available through Scoreboard Live.
Played on the par-71 7,481-yard course, the Panthers will compete against a 13-team field including Drake, Missouri State, Air Force, Nebraska Omaha, Valparaiso, Kansas City, Iowa, South Dakota, Southern Illinois, Western Illinois, North Dakota State, South Dakota State, and DePaul University.
The Panthers are coming off a season-best second-place finish at the WIU Intercollegiate in Silvis, Illinois. Tanner Dinnebier led the way for the Panther men, finishing in second place with a score of 209 (-4). Freshman Anthony Galvin placed in a tie for 10th, shooting 218 (+5), while Nile Petersen finished in 14th place, carding a 221 (+8). Cooper Hanson tied for 19th place with a 225 (+12), and Drew Spooner finished in 25th place with a total score of 228 (+15), competing as an individual. Calen Bishop finished in 31st place with a 231 (+18). Freshman Davis Tripp placed in a tie for 43rd, shooting a score of 242 (+29) to finish out the tournament.
