Isaiah Trousil to run in USATF Indoor Championships

UNI sprinter to compete in the 60-meter dash on the national stage in New Mexico.
CEDAR FALLS, Iowa --- UNI redshirt senior Isaiah Trousil will run on the national stage this weekend as he competes in the 60-meter dash at the USATF Indoor Championships Albuquerque, N.M.
Trousil will run his preliminary heat on Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. CT, with a potential semifinal heat on Saturday at approximately 3:02 p.m. CT. The championship will be ran at about 4:52 p.m. CT on Saturday. The preliminary and semi final heats will be livestreamed on USATF.tv+, while the finals will be broadcast LIVE on NBC.
Trousil, a native of Burlington, Iowa, earned Second Team All-American honors with an 11th place finish in the 200-meter dash at last year's NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships after claiming the MVC title with a school record time of 20.72. The West Burlington High School product has competed unattached from UNI during the 2022-23 indoor season, winning the 60-meter dash at December's Hawkeye Invitational with a career-best time of 6.67 second, currently ranked second fastest in UNI history.
