Panther sprinter breaks personal best twice in 60-meter dash.
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. --- UNI's Isaiah Trousil climbed the podium on the national stage on Saturday afternoon as the redshirt senior sprinter took third place in the men's 60-meter dash at the USATF Indoor Championships at the Albuquerque Convention Center.
Trousil clocked a career-best time of 6.61 second in the finals as the third-seed, following a personal-best time of 6.62 in the semifinal round earlier in the day. The West Burlington, Iowa native clocked a time of 6.68 in Friday's first round heat, the sixth fastest time in the 19-person field. Trousil currently holds the second fastest 60-meter time in UNI history.
Former Panther Brandon Carnes also competed in the men's 60-meters, running a 6.59 second time in the first round, leading all competitors. Carnes would run a 7.54 in the semifinals and miss the final cut.
