CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — UNI track and field will get its first opportunity to compete on its home track this weekend as the Panthers host the Jack Jennett Invitational inside the UNI-Dome on Friday night. Other Panther athletes will head to Iowa City for the Larry Wieczorek Invitational, the third of four indoor meets for UNI at the University of Iowa. Competition is slated to begin at 11 a.m. CT for both events on both days.

Last weekend, UNI competed in Iowa City at the Hawkeye Invitational, which saw a number of breakout performances from UNI field athletes. Parker Kiewiet finished in first place in the men's long jump with a new personal-best jump of 24 feet, 11 inches to set a new meet record. His performance also registered as the third longest jump in program history.

Carter Morton and Alivia Silvestri led the way for UNI in the pole vault, with both finishing in second place in their respective competitions. Morton notched a vault of 15 feet, 1 inch, while Silvestri posted a career-best mark of 12 feet, 2.5 inches. Rylie Todd clinched second in the women's high jump with a 5 foot, 5 inch performance, as Katie Fare took second place in the women's shot put with a throw of 51 feet, 3.75 inches.

On the track, Isaiah Trousil took home first place in the men's 60-meter dash while competing unattached with a career-best time of 6.67 seconds. His time set a new Hawkeye Invitational record and registered as the second-fastest time in school history. Rylan Santi finished third in the women's 60-meter dash with a time of 7.53, as Emily Vos took third in the women's 300-meter dash in 24.88. Paige Holub anchored UNI's distance runners with a second place finish with an indoor career-best time of 2:16.70.
