CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - Ten Panthers will represent UNI track and field at the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds set to start next week.Â

Two Panthers on the men's side will pull double duty competing in multiple events: Darius King, Parker Kiewiet.Â
King is currently third in the region in shot put and will compete in discus as well. King holds the UNI shot put record of 20.26 meters (66 feet, 5.75 inches) and is seventh on the all-time list for discus with a throw of 57.09 meters (187-4). King won both events at the MVC Championships.Â

Yezek also qualified for the shot put, but will focus on the one event for the NCAA West Prelims. Â
After winning three individual events and running the third leg of the winning 4x400 relay team at the MVC Championships, Parker Kiewiet jumped up the leaderboard of all-time marks in program history at UNI. He will compete in the 200-meter dash and long jump.Â

Trousil earned an all-conference finish in the 100-meter dash. His time of 10.23 seconds was an improvement over what already was the second best time in program history. While Trousil qualified for both the 100-meter dash and the 200-meter dash, he will compete in just the 100 and is ranked No. 25.Â
Jack Sumners rounds out the men's qualifiers. He earned all-conference honors in the 110-meter hurdles and is ranked No. 43 headed into next week's competition.Â

Rylie Tood, the MVC champion in high jump, will be UNI's final competitor at the West Prelims on Saturday. She jumped 1.76 meters (5-9.25) at the Musco Twilight in April, which ties her for the third best jump posted by any Panther. She is No. 43 on the West Prelim performance list.Â
