CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - Griffin Parker earned the first Missouri Valley Conference Golfer of the Week honors for UNI men's golf this spring season.Â

Griffin Parker tied for first place at the Jackrabbit Invitational, leading the Panthers to a seventh-place finish. Parker led the field with 16 birdies over the two days to finish in a three-way tie for first place with a mark of 212 (-4). He tied Willis Graer of Eastern Kentucky and Ty Krentz of South Dakota State.
Parker shot a 72, 70 and 70 (212). After the first round, Parker was tied for sixth and jumped to second after the second round. He moved up one final spot to end the tournament. The Boulder Creek Golf Course was a par 72 course that measured 7,402 yards.
Parker is a sophomore of Waukee, Iowa. He is an accounting major minoring in real estate and business.Â
