UNI men’s golf set for Jackrabbit Invitational in Nevada

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa --- UNI men's golf continues its Spring season heading West as it travels to Boulder Creek, Nevada, for the Jackrabbit Invitational.
Hosted by South Dakota State on the 7,300-yard, par-72 course, the Panther men will begin with a 36-hole shotgun start at 8:00 am Monday morning, followed by an 18-hole round beginning at 8:00 am on Tuesday morning. The Panthers will compete against a 10-team field, including South Dakota State, Western Illinois, North Dakota, Southern Utah, Youngstown State, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical (AZ), Morehead State, Missouri State, IU-Indianapolis, and Kansas City University.
Last season, UNI placed third out of 10 teams, totaling a score of 891, with Tanner Dinnebier coming in at 24th place overall with a final score of 230 +14 (79-79-72). South Dakota State took home the team title at Boulder Creek last season, finishing ahead of North Dakota with a final score of 878.
Calen Bishop led the Panther pack in its previous tournament at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate in Palm Desert, California, tying for 52nd place with a total score of 219 (+3). Tanner Dinnebier finished in a tie for 63rd place, shooting 75-71-75 and 221 (+5). Nile Petersen tied for 110th place with a score of 235 (+18). Freshman Anthony Galvin placed 116th, carding a 238 (+22), while Cooper Hanson finished in 120th place, shooting 241 (+25), to round out the three-day tournament.
