UNI men’s golf finishes 11th at Jackrabbit Invitational

BOULDER CITY, Nevada --- The UNI men's golf team placed 11th at the Jackrabbit Invitational, shooting 892 (+28). South Dakota State won the team title with 847 (-17), while Morehead State's Seamus Bogan claimed the individual title with a 204 (-12).

Calen Bishop led UNI, tying for 19th at 216 (E), with two eagles on hole five in rounds one and three. Tanner Dinnebier tied for 28th with rounds of 77, 70, and 73 for 220 (+4), making 13 birdies. Freshman Davis Tripp, competing as an individual, tied for 36th place, sinking an eagle on hole 10 in round one during his collegiate debut.

Anthony Galvin tied for 50th after rounds of 76, 72, and 77, setting a personal best with a 72 (E) in round two. Drew Spooner, also competing individually, tied for 58th with 77, 73, and 82, making nine birdies. Cooper Hanson tied for 62nd, shooting 235 (+19) with five birdies and an eagle on hole five in round three, rounding out the two-day tournament for the Panthers.

UP NEXT

The UNI men are set to tee off next at the WIU Intercollegiate at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois, on April 2nd and 3rd.
