UNI Falls to Indiana State 162-138

Cedar Falls, Iowa - The UNI Swimming and Diving team hosted Indiana State at home on Saturday. Despite having seven first place finishes, the Panthers fell to the Sycomores 162-138 and dropped to 0-3 on the season.
Freshman Amber Finke led UNI with two first place finishes in the 100 Back (55.43), and the 200 Back (2:00.74). She was also on both of the second place relay teams for the Panthers in the 200 Medley (1:45.28) and the 400 Free Relay (3:30.62).
UNI had seven top finishes including the two from Finke. First place wins came from freshman Lily Ernst in the 200 Fly (2:03.67), sophomore Mia Savecevic in the 200 Breast (2:21.57), junior Lauren Havertape in the 100 Breast (1:04.42), and seniors Anika Lilegard-Bouton in the 500 Free (5:06.29) and Jayden Lovell in 3-meter Dive (221.62).
Second place finishes for the Panthers came in the 200 Medley Relay (1:45.28), Clare Christensen in the 50 Free (24.53), Anna Penning in the 1-meter Dive (236.99), Lily Ernst in the 100 Fly (57.17), and the 400 Free Relay (3:30.62).
Next up on the schedule for the Panthers is NCAA Zone Diving in Austin, TX March 9-11 and a home meet against Nebraska-Omaha March 20.
