Hogan punches NCAA Zones ticket at UNO Diving Invite

OMAHA, Neb. — Members of the UNI diving team closed out the regular season on Friday and Saturday with a strong showing at Omaha's H&K Pool and the UNO Diving Invite.
Competition started off on Friday night with one-meter springboard action, junior Avery Hogan led the charge with a first-place performance and score of 272.60, the fifth-highest mark in team history. Achieving a score of at least 265, Hogan qualifies for the 2026 NCAA Zone D meet, set to be held next month in College Station, Texas. Hogan joins teammate Erica Peters, who qualified for Zones earlier this season in three-meter action.
Peters finished second on the one-meter boards in Omaha with a 261.25, with Trista Thompson taking fourth (244.20), Addison Bausman in tenth (217.50) and Eva Coonrad in 12 (200.90).
In Saturday's three-meter competition, Hogan placed second for the Panthers with a score of 257.60, while Thompson followed in third (256.90) and Peters in fourth (251.85). Bausman finished in seventh with a score of 230.10, as Coonrad took ninth (210.60)
In the women's team springboard event, Northern Iowa came out on top with a winning score of 247.15, beating out both Omaha and St. Thomas.
UP NEXT
The Panthers will head to the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Championships, slated to be held Feb. 25-28 in Evansville, Indiana at the Deaconess Aquatic Center. Competition will begin with prelims starting at 10:30 a.m. CT each day, with finals following that night, beginning at 6 p.m. CT.
