Softball Hosts Bradley for Three Game Set

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – UNI softball looks to continue its success against conference opponents at home, as the team takes on the Bradley Braves.
The teams will play two games on Friday and one game on Saturday. The first game of the doubleheader on Friday will start at 12:00 p.m., with the second game to follow immediately after. Saturday's game will begin at 11:00 a.m.
Last season, the Panthers split their two games against Bradley, in Peoria. UNI owns a 58-36 advantage in the all-time series against Bradley, and the Panthers have won five of the past six games against the Braves. Under head coach Ryan Jacobs, the Panthers are 21-10 against the Braves, and at home under Jacobs UNI is 11-5 in matchups with Bradley.
Last weekend, the Panthers outscored the Valparaiso Crusaders 36-4 in a three-game sweep for UNI. The team hit nine home runs, including three from Sammey Bunch and two from Emma Valainis. The Panthers are 8-2 at home in 2019, and at home against MVC opponents, the team is 5-0.
Following the series against Bradley, the Panthers will host Drake for a single contest on April 23, at 6:00 p.m. UNI will also welcome Southern Illinois to town for a three-game series on April 27 and 28.
