Northern Iowa Panthers vs. Illinois State Redbirds | Final Score – W, 10-6
Brooke Craig collected her 13th win of the season, going six and two-thirds innings while allowing six earned runs. Craig struck out one and did not walk a batter but was knocked around by Redbirds batters.
Emma Olejniczak also appeared in the ball game, retiring one batter while walking three.
Craig was backed by a strong offensive performance, as the Panthers scored 10 runs on 14 hits.
UNI scored first, in the first inning, on a three-run double off the bat of catcher Ashley Chesser. The Redbirds would go on to score six straight runs in the second inning, but the Panthers pitching staff would hold them scoreless for the remainder of the game.
In the bottom of second inning, the Panther scored two more runs on a Sammey Bunch double to center, which drove in Courtney Krodinger, and a Kennedy Bailey two-bagger in to left field.
C. Krodinger singled into left field in the third inning, driving in Olivia Brooks. The last four runs for the Panthers came in the bottom of the fourth, on a Chesser single, and an Adara Opiola bases-clearing double into left-center field.
Bunch finished four-for-four with three runs scored for UNI. Brooks also had three runs scored for the cats' offense. Four different Panthers tallied multiple hits against Illinois State.

Olejniczak was solid in her start for the Panthers, striking out four batters and holding Illinois State to two runs. The offense was unable to back Olejniczak's solid start however, as the lone run for UNI came on a Roby solo home run.
After four and-a-half scoreless innings for both teams, the Panthers broke through first with a solo jack off the bat of Roby. It was the first career home run for the senior outfielder.
Roby had two out of five hits for UNI in game two. Bunch, Bailey and Brooks were the other three UNI hitters to record a base hit.
Roby, Bunch and C. Krodinger reached on walks as well. Backstop Chesser reached twice on a base-on-balls for the Panthers. The Panthers left nine runners on base in the game.
