UNI opens the conference play with a pair of games in Illinois. The Panthers start 2019 with a game at Illinois State Friday before traveling to Bradley Sunday. The Panthers closed non-conference play with a tough loss to Kansas State.
The Panthers were picked second in the MVC Preseason Poll and the conference starts this week. Karli Rucker leads the way for UNI at 15.8 points per game and Ellie Howell has 10.8 PPG. Leading rebounder Megan Maahs will miss the remainder of the season with an injury. Bre Gunnels is second on the team with 5.1 RPG.
Illinois State is 7-4 on the year and has won six straight games entering conference play. The Redbirds are led by Simone Goods at 18.7 PPG and Tete Maggette at 15.1 PPG.
Bradley is 10-1 on the season with the lone loss coming on the road against Purdue. Four Braves average double figures led by Gabbi Haack with 16.1 PPG.
Friday's game will be broadcast on ESPN+. Sunday's game will be shown on ESPN3.
