Women's Golf Finish 8th in MVC Preview

CHESTERTON, Indiana – The UNI women's golf team finished the three round MVC Women's Golf Preview Tuesday afternoon, finishing in eighth place with a third round 343.
Sydney Eaton finished in seventh place individually, carding a final round 84 for a 242 total. Anne Gradoville recorded the low round of the day for the Panthers, carding an 82. Gradoville finished tied for 13th with a 248.
Hannah Bermel finished round three with an 88 and a 256 total, finishing tied for 30th while Emily Snelling carded an 89 and finished in 44th place. Hailey Bermel rounded out the Panther starters and carded a 91 in the final round and finished with a 270.
Sarah McMichael played unattached in the tournament and finished round three with an 88, falling a few spots from day one, McMichael still managed to finish with a 251 and tied for 21st.
Collectively, the panthers played well on par threes, averaging 3.48 strokes a hole and finishing +29 for the tournament in par three scoring. The Panthers struggled in par four scoring however, averaging 4.95 strokes a hole and finishing +143.
The Panther golf team will get another few rounds in warm weather before closing up shop for the winter. October 28-30 the team will be playing in the Little Rock Women's Golf Classic at the Diamante County Club in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. The tournament is a 54 hole event, 18 holes each day, beginning on Sunday, October 28 with a 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.
