UNI Women’s Golf Travels to Big O Classic for Fall Season Finale

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa --- UNI women's golf will wrap up their fall campaign this week in Omaha, competing in the Big O Classic hosted by the University of Nebraska Omaha at Oak Hills Country Club.
Play begins on Oct. 13-14 at Oak Hills Country Club, a par-72 course measuring 6,107 yards. The Big O Classic will start on Monday morning and run through Tuesday afternoon, with the Panthers playing round one and two on Monday and then finishing with the third and final round on Tuesday. The Panther ladies will compete against a nine-team field, including Western Illinois, Iowa Western Community College, Creighton, Jackson State, Idaho State, Prairie View A&M, Indian Hills Community College, University of Nebraska Omaha (Host), and Stephen F. Austin University.
The Panthers are coming off a fourth-place finish out of four teams at the Jackrabbit Invitational in Larchwood, Iowa. McKenna Mallow and Addison Berg both led the UNI women, finishing in a tie for 12th place, shooting a score of 249 (+33). Jane Petersen placed 16th with a final score of 252 (+36), while Lauren Nuss finished in 21st place, carding a 264 (+48). Greenlee Smock finished right behind Nuss in 22nd place with a total score of 265 (+49).
