CEDAR FALLS, Iowa—The Glen F. Henry Pool was loud as the University of Northern Iowa women's swimming and diving teams swam to victories over Valparaiso, Western Illinois, and South Dakota State.
Moriah Ross led all competitors in the 100 breaststroke, completing the race in one minute, four seconds and 62 hundredths of a second. Ross swam into first place in the 200 breaststroke, timing in at 2:20.68.
Crystal Florman led competitors in the 50 freestyle, timing in at 23.88. Florman took first place in the 100 butterfly, swimming a 57.07.
Rachelle Houlette edged out the competition in the 200 IM, swimming a 2:16.70.
Katie Taylor, Ross, Florman, and Lauren Havertape were six seconds ahead of the competition in the 200 medley relay, timing in at 1:45.82. Taylor, Havertape, Lauren Kacmarynski, and Ross led the pack in the 200 freestyle relay, timing in at 1:38.03.
Taylor and Madison Rinaldi went 1-2 in the 100 backstroke. Taylor swam a 56.03 and Rinaldi timed in at 59.66.
Jordan McCullough and Sam Galvin led all competitors in the 200 freestyle. McCullough swam a 1:57.86, while Galvin timed in at 1:59.88.
Taylor, Florman, and Jenna Willer went 1-2-3 in the 100 freestyle. Taylor swam a 51.70, Florman timed in at 52.21, and Willer swam a 54.90.
The Panthers went 1-2-3 in the 1000 freestyle, led by Kylie Engstrom. Engstrom swam a 10:38.89 in the event. Â Anika Lillegard-Bouton swam into second place, timing in at 10:51.77, while Lauren Vilims timed in at 10:56.69
Engstrom and Lillegard-Bouton led competitors in the 500 freestyle. Engstrom swam a 5:12.79, while Lillegard-Bouton timed in at 5:16.79.
Rinaldi, McCullough and Kelsey Ostrowski led all competitors in the 200 backstroke. Rinaldi swam a 2:09.31. McCullough timed in second later at 2:11.40, and Ostrowski swam a 2:13.49. Â
"The amount of progress the team has made in the last week was evident today as we had solid swims across all events," said head coach Nick Lakin.
Ostrowski and Houlette went 2-3 in the 200 butterfly. Ostrowski timed in at 2:14.63, while Houlette swam a 2:14.93.
Alivia Soares swam a 2:32.24 in the 200 breaststroke, good for second place.
Rinaldi, Ashleigh Houlette, Rachelle Houlette, and Abby Meyer swam into third place in the 200 medley relay, swimming a 1:52.56.
Havertape would take third in the 100 breaststroke, swimming a 1:10.15.
Meyer and Kacmarynski would take third and fourth in the 50 freestyle, timing in at 25.22 and 25.30 respectively.

Diving
Mary Kate Ferlmann led all competitors in the 3-meter boards, diving a 224.80. On 1-meter boards, Ferlmann led the Panthers in second place, with a dive score of 224.10. Jayden Lovell took third in both the 1-meter and 3-meter boards. Lovell dove a 223.30 on 1-meter and a 206.15 on 3-meter. Madison Schoppe captured fourth in the 3-meter, diving a 183.45. Schoppe received fifth place on the 1-meter boards, diving a 179.40.

The Panthers return to action as they travel to South Dakota for a quadrangular meet against South Dakota, South Dakota State, and St. Cloud State Nov. 2-3. Â
