WATERLOO, Iowa - The University of Northern Iowa women's soccer team lost to the University of South Dakota on Sunday by a final score of 2-0.

UNI's best scoring opportunity came in the second half as Sarah McHugh was awarded a free kick from 28 yards out. McHugh sent a line drive bullet towards South Dakota's keeper, but the shot flew into the far post and out of the goalie box.
Later, in the 73rd minute, South Dakota found another break away opportunity as Taylor Nivala dribbled from middle field into the 18 yard box and sent another low far-corner shot just past the outstretched arm of Blunt.
