2015: INDOOR: Improved his indoor personal-best in the 800 meters by over five seconds at the Jack Jennett Invitational (1/30) with a time of 1:54.08, winning the event … also won the 800 meters at the UNI Team Invitational (1/31) with a time of 1:56.25 … finished second in the 600 meters at the UNI-Dome Open (2/20) with a personal-best time of 1:23.48.
2015: OUTDOOR: Competed in the 4X400 meter relay at the Gibson Invitational and the Musco Invitational … ran a three-second outdoor PR in the 800 meters at the Wisconsin Open (5/8) with a time of 1:53.12.
2014: INDOOR: Ran an indoor personal-best in the 800 meters at the Jack Jennett Invitational (1/31) with a time of 1:59.74.
2014: OUTDOOR: Recorded a new PR in the 800 meters at the Wartburg Outdoor Twilight (4/22) with a time of 1:56.30 and a third place finish … also ran a personal-best in the 1,500 meters at the EIU Big Blue Classic (4/3) with a time of 4:07.77 … was named to the MVC Honor Roll.
High School: Helped his cross country team to a team championship in 2011 … was a four-time Drake Relays qualifier in track and field … holds the school record in the 4X800 meter relay and helped his relay team to a championship in 2013 … also helped lead his track and field team to the 3A championship in 2013 … finished third in the 3A 800 meters.
Personal: Son of Eric and Kari Pingel … has three siblings, Jordan, Kiki and Annika … brother, Jordan, is a sophomore on the UNI track and field team … was part of the National Honor Society and the Debate Team in high school … majoring in biochemistry.
