2021 OUTDOOR: Finished fourth with a time of 2:18.71 in the 800 meters at the Kip Janvrin Open (April 23) … Took sixth in the 800 meters with a time of 2:17.75 and in the 4x400-meter relay with a time of 4:09.81 at the Illinois State Invitational (April 30 - May 1).
2021 INDOOR: Did not compete.
2020 INDOOR: Competed at the Jimmy Grant Invite (12/14)… Placed fourth in the 400 meters at the Hawkeye Invitational (1/10)… Ran a personal best in the 60 meters with a time of 8.27 and in the 200 meters with a time of 27.38 at the Bison Team Cup (1/18)… Place fourth in the 400 meters at the Jack Jennett Open (1/23)… Ran a personal best in the 600 yards at the Cyclone Open (1/24)… Competed at the Black and Gold Premier (1/31) and the Iowa State Classic (2/14)… Placed second in the 800 meters at the Liz Wuertz Indoor Invitational (2/22)… Placed fifth in the 8000 meters and sixth in the 4x400 at the MVC Indoor Championships (2/29).
2019 OUTDOOR: Did not compete.
2018 OUTDOOR: Assisted the Panther’s in their 3rd place time of 3:49.78 in the 4x400 at the Musco Twilight (4/12) … Competed at the Tom Botts Invite (4/20), recording a personal best time of 2:14.21 in the 800 … Competed in the 800 at the MVC Championships (5/11).
2018 INDOOR: Opened her season with a 1st place finish in the 800 after a time of 2:17.13 at the Cyclone Duals (12/8) … Took 1st in the 600 and 2nd in the 4x400 at the Panther Open (1/13) after times of 1:36.33 and 4:02.26 … Notched a PR of 58.45 in the 400 at the Jim Emmerich Invite (1/20) … Competed in both the 800 and 4x400 at the Mark Messersmith Invitational (1/27), notching a time of 2:15.68 and 3rd place in the 800 as well as a 2nd place time of 3:50.41 in the 4x400 … Earned a personal best time of 1:36.23 in the 600 at the SDSU Indoor Classic (2/9) … Competed in the 800 at the MVC Championships (2/24).
High School: 16-time state qualifier and 15-time state medalist... Drake champion in the sprint medley... Was the school record-holder at Boone High School in seven events... Holds the 400-meter 3A state record with a time of 54.73... Also lettered in basketball and softball at Boone HS... Was all-conference in basketball, while earning all-state and all-district in softball three times.Personal: Born Dianna Slight on July 11, 1999 in Boone, Iowa... Chose UNI because of the coaching staff, team, location and the great teaching program at the university... Hopes to become a coach and teacher after college... Volunteered with "Shop with a cop" program and was also a mentor.
