2013: Appeared in 48 games and drew 42 starts (primarily as the designated player) ... earned second-team All-Missouri Valley Conference honors ... batted .271 with a team-leading eight home runs ... led the squad with 28 runs scored ... also led the team in slugging percentage (.534) ... went 3-for-4 with three RBI and two home runs in a 13-4 win over Grambling State (2/22) at the Littlewood Classic in Tempe, Ariz. ... had a double and three RBI in a 6-4 win over Southern Illinois (5/9) in the quarterfinal of the MVC Tournament in Omaha, Neb. ... hit the first pitch of the game for a home run in UNI's 1-0 win over Creighton (5/10) in the MVC Tournament semifinal.
High School: A catcher from BCLUW (Comets) of Conrad, Iowa ... a four-year letter recipient in track, basketball, and cross country, as well as a five-year recipient in softball ... earned multiple honors through her softball career receiving all-conference, all-district, and all-state from 2007-2010 ... set school records in hits (286), doubles (58), home runs (29) and RBI (248).
Personal: A transfer from Kirkwood Community College, Nicole is the daughter of Scott and Linda Fisher, Nicole is the sibling of sister Kayla (15) and twin sister of UNI pitcher Jamie Fisher. Nicole was born on December 11, 1991 in Marshalltown, Iowa. Nicole has spent time in her community volunteering and helping out with past Special Olympics. Nicole selected UNI for the excellent teaching program and the great softball program.
