HIGH SCHOOL: Nichols was a two-time All-State honoree… Helped lead Pleasant Valley to the 2018 Cross Country State championship… the team finished second in 2019 and fourth in 2018… Was part of four consecutive conference championships and district championships… He was a three-time All-conference honoree… His teammate at Pleasant Valley, Ian Kaffenberger, joins Nichols in Cedar Falls.
PERSONAL: He went on four mission trips with St. Mark’s Lutheran Church… Completed over 400 hours of community service during high school.
