Panther women’s golf: Jensen, Hualde named to 2025 MVC Scholar-Athlete Team

ST. LOUIS --- UNI women's golfers Anna Jensen and Victoria Hualde have earned spots on the 2025 Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Women's Golf Scholar-Athlete Teams, the league office announced Wednesday morning.
The Panther duo is among 18 standout student-athletes across the MVC to be recognized for their achievements both on the course and in the classroom. Illinois State's Jinyoung Yun was honored as the MVC Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
Selections for the MVC Scholar-Athlete Team are based on criteria aligned with the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America standards. To be eligible, student-athletes must have participated in the MVC Championships or competed in at least 50 percent of their team's tournaments, while maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher. Graduate students must meet the GPA requirement in both undergraduate and graduate coursework.
Anna Jensen, a redshirt senior from Dubuque, Iowa, was named to the MVC Scholar-Athlete First Team. Jensen led UNI during the 2024-25 season with a team-best scoring average of 75.37. She recorded five top-five finishes, highlighted by a tie for second place at the Ozarks National Invitational. Over 27 rounds played, Jensen posted 22 rounds of 70 or better, including a season-low 69. She capped off her season with a runner-up finish at the 2025 MVC Championships in Waterloo, Illinois, earning both All-MVC and All-Tournament honors.
Victoria Hualde, a redshirt senior from Pamplona, Spain, earned a spot on the MVC Scholar-Athlete Second Team. Hualde ranked second on the team with a 77.51 scoring average and notched three top-10 finishes, including a fourth-place showing at the WIU Invitational. Her season-low round of 71 came during that event. She wrapped up the year with a ninth-place finish at the MVC Championships.
