UNI track & field: Lillie runs career-best 5,000-meter time at St. Ambrose

DAVENPORT, Iowa --- The 2025-26 UNI track and field season got underway on Saturday morning as three members of the Panther men's team competed in the 5,000-meter run at St. Ambrose's Frigid Bee Invite at the Wellness and Recreation Center in the Quad Cities.
Redshirt sophomore Colin Lillie, who was a top-20 finisher at the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Cross Country Championships last month, led the Panthers with a career-best time of 14:40.04. Ethan Olds, making his collegiate track debut after debuting as a freshman on the cross country course this fall, placed 20th with a time of 15:15.51.
Redshirt junior Drew Dombrosky, competing unattached meanwhile, followed Olds in 21st place in 15:31.41.
UP NEXT
The Panthers return to action next Friday and Saturday, Dec. 12-13 at the Jimmy Grant Holiday Invitational in Iowa City.
