Women’s golf places second for the first time since 2024

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa — The UNI women's golf team rounded out their tournament at the Stampede at the Creek on Tuesday afternoon, hosted by University of Nebraska at Omaha, with a 2nd-place finish. This is their first second-place finish since 2024.
Northern Iowa shot a combined team score of 927 (+63) in the 5-team tournament, with University of Nebraska at Omaha winning the title, shooting a final score of 902 (+38), and their very own Eden Larson taking home the individual title, carding a 216 (E).
The Panther ladies were led by Addie Berg, who shot a final score of 230 (+14) to finish in T-6th. This is a 16 stroke improvement from last tournament and her highest placement yet. Greenlee Smock finished second for the Panthers, with a score of 231 (+15) to finish T-8th. This is a great improvement for her from last tournament as she shed off 11 strokes. Camille Wood finished third for the Panthers with a tournament place of T-11th and a score of 233 (+17). Brinley Carlson finished the tournament with a 235 (+19), placing her at 16th place. Jane Petersen finished in 18th place with a tournament score of 237 (+21). Rounding out the Panther ladies is Lauren Nuss with a score of 245 (+29), placing her T-23rd.

The Panthers will head back to the state of Iowa to compete in the Diane Thomason Invitational at Davenport Country Club in Pleasant Valley, Iowa.
