Panther cross country announces schedule for 2024 season

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa --- The UNI cross country team has announced its schedule for the upcoming 2024 season, which will feature the first hosted meet by the Panthers in eight years.

Entering the second full season under head coach Alex Teubel, the Panthers will begin the year on Aug. 23 in Ames at Iowa State's Cyclone Preview. Northern Iowa will also visit Iowa City for the Hawkeye Invite on Aug. 30.

UNI is scheduled to make an appearance at Illinois State's Redbird Invite on Sept. 13 with select athletes slated to visit Columbia, Missouri for the Gans Creek Classic on Sept. 27. The Panthers will begin October with a short trip up to Waverly to compete at Wartburg's Dan Huston Invite on Oct. 5 before rounding out the regular season on Oct. 18 at the Bradley Pink Classic in Peoria, Illinois.

For the first time since 2016, Northern Iowa will host the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC) Championships, set to be run at Pheasant Ridge Golf Course in Cedar Falls. Bradley will host this year's NCAA Midwest Regional Championships on Nov. 15, while the University of Wisconsin will play host to the NCAA Championships on Nov. 23.
